Gloria Goodman

Let me introduce you to Gloria Goodman, she is coming on board as an independent literary agent consultant at WIN & NIM. Gloria is representing the Seventh Avenue Agency on a part-time basis. Gloria is well known in Canadian and international publishing circles. She has spent time early in her career at Key Porter Books as the assistant to then President and Publisher Anna Porter. She eventually acquired several authors for the publishing program.

She also worked in the Random House Canada Rights Department selling many projects including Ascension by Steven Galloway in nine countries; Stephen Brunt's Facing Ali in the UK , US and Japan ; and Robert Sedlack's The African Safari Papers in Germany, Holland and the US .

Some other foreign rights successes at Random House were: Tom Wujec’s Pumping Ions (DC) published in over 20 countries and Gloria was responsible for the majority of those deals;  her passion for Charlie Russell’s grizzly bears in Kamchatka resulted in deals for Grizzly Seasons (RHC) in the US and the UK; Grizzly Heart (RHC) was sold to publishers in China, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Germany; Ting-xing Ye’s beautiful memoir A Leaf in the Bitter Wind (DC) was published in Australia, the Netherlands, Germany, Japan, the US and the UK.

Gloria also did consulting work for The HSW Literary Agency at the Humber School for Writers.

Recently GLORIA has joined the Seventh Avenue Literary Agency base in Vancouver as an agent on a part-time basis. Gloria resides in Toronto.
