Topic: What is "CHI KUNG" and do you want to know more???? with Irina Benoit from Life Management Clinic Chi Kung is an ancient Chinese practice that integrates physical postures, breathing techniques and focused intention. The word Chi Kung is made up of two Chinese words. Chi is usually translated to mean the life force or vital-energy that flows through all things in the universe. The second word, Kung means accomplishment, or skill that is cultivated through steady practice. Together, Chi Kung means cultivating energy. It is a system practiced for health maintenance, healing and increasing vitality.
Chi Kung practices can be classified as martial, medical, or spiritual. All styles have three things in common: they all involve a posture, breathing techniques, and mental focus. All the practices increase the Chi, use it to cleanse and heal the body, circulate it, store it, or emit Chi to help heal others, and in some cases eliminate illness all together!

BIO:
I graduated in Russia as a biotechnologist engineer 15 years ago. A year later I was diagnosed with a terminal illness. Modern medicine provided no answers for me and could offer no help. I had to find an alternative way of to be healed or I would not survive. In 1988 I found Master Lu Chin, doctor of Chinese medicine. He was the first to introduce me to concepts of Chinese medicine and philosophy. He also introduced me to Chi Kung and Tai Chi practices. With Master Lu Chin's guidance and a little time I over came my illness, but Chi Kung and Tai Chi remained as a very important part of my life.
Two years later I started working for the Centre of Chinese Traditional Medicine in Moscow. I spent 5 years at the Centre, healing people and training as a Reiki Master. It was during this time I met my second Teacher, Master Cheng Wen, member of the Judge College of Tai Chi Association of China. I studied Yang style Tai Chi Chuan with him in China and Russia. Under Master Chen Wen I was the 1992 through 1994 champion of Moscow and Russia in Tai Chi and Tai Chi sword.
My third teacher is Master Mantak Chia, founder of the International Healing Tao System. Under his teaching I was taught many facets of Chi and Chinese philosophies. Including Chi Kung, Tao Yin, Taoist mediations, Chi Nei Tsung (Chi massage of inner organs) and internal alchemy mediations.
My goal is to a share my experiences and knowledge with people. I heal people and teach them to strengthen their bodies. I help to teach people how to balance their emotions and to help guide them mentally, physically and spiritually.
