Guest Speaker

Daniel Rutley - Clinical Psychotherapist, Best Selling Author and Professional Speaker

For over two decades, Daniel has used a warm, direct and straightforward approach in his private practice, lectures and seminars. He focuses on the present, providing a systematic method to solving our most common emotional, relationship and behavioral problems.

A lifetime study of understanding people, Dan loves the “ologies”: psychology, sociology, anthropology, and philosophy. A collaboration of these complimentary disciplines affords him a unique outlook:

bullet

Individual psychology permits an understanding of how people deceive and distress themselves, as well as the dynamics of personal growth and peak fulfillment;

bullet

Social psychology examines how groups work and interact;

bullet

Anthropology and history presents a wide base of cultural understandings across time for perspective;

bullet

Combine these areas with Dan's love of science and the physical world (i.e., physics and astronomy)...

bullet

Then add philosophy as a foundation for guidance and stability.

In his quest to understand the human psyche, he has studied the psychology of illusions and magic, how and why hypnosis works, cross-cultural symbolism and mythology – being an avid collector of the Arthurian dragon himself. He maintains a fascination for the unknown and the mysterious.

A personal philosophy for Dan, “Mens sana in corpore sano” (A sound mind in a sound body), he keeps fit with his passion for playing the racquet sport: squash. He also enjoys scuba diving, sky diving, volleyball, tennis, baseball and travel.

An authority in the field of personal development and relationship enhancement, Dan remains on the cutting edge blending current psychological knowledge and peak performance technologies with the experience of over 20 years in counseling, teaching and lecturing. He’s the author of the best-selling book Escaping Emotional Entrapment, and the audio CD Understanding the Opposite Sex. He has released his home-study program called “8 Weeks to Life” and will he will be presenting “The Art of Confidence” on PBS in June. Frequently sought out by the media, he regularly appears as a guest expert on numerous TV and radio programs, and is often interviewed for magazines and newspapers.

Final Thought: from Nikole with LUV...

Creating Personal Boundaries:
Commanding Respect in Love, Work, and Life!

Many people walk trough life making career, relationship, and other life decisions in response or in reaction to others around them. This is an extremely toxic way of living because these people will never live based on their own life designs.

If you never realize that you are following this pattern, it is possible that you will live the majority of your life at the mercy of others – never really doing what you want to do, and possibly never even knowing what it is you actually want out of life….
