Karen received her MBA in marketing from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and has worked as a communication consultant in the Canadian pension and benefit industry since 1992.
She's also a practising karmic astrologer, associated with Linda Brady, author of Discovering Your Soul Mission.
In 2006, with early readers raving about Moondance, Karen left her six figure job, came out as a karmic astrologer, turned her back on traditional publishing - and committed to a dream she never previously had the courage to imagine.
About Moondance
A free thinking, emotionally-charged, highly addictive spin on love, life and the nature of reality.
In 1996, Toronto author Karen M. Black began to write in a curious, unstructured wave.
What she wrote scared her so much, that she abandoned her writing for five years. What she didn't know was that she had just written the climax of her debut novel Moondance, which would be published more than ten years later.
Today, Karen's early words are preserved virtually uncut in a series of riveting scenes that are literally keeping readers up at night.
Moondance took third place GRAND PRIZE for fiction and Winner for New Age fiction at the 2008 Next Generation Indie Book Awards in Chelsea, Michigan. It was also awarded Winner for Visionary fiction, and Finalist for New Fiction at the 2008 National Indie Excellence awards in Hollywood, California.
