Kelita is the Director of Heart & Soul Music, her record and music publishing company. She is also the Executive Director and Founder/Producer of her Christmas initiative “Heavenly Night” an advocacy and fundraising project which has raised over $120,000 for young girls in Cambodia who have been rescued from sexual slavery.
Kelita is a 5 times Juno nominee, multi talented and award winning singer, songwriter, musician, comedienne, inspirational speaker and TV host. Her powerful music and message of hope has inspired millions and taken her all over the world. She has worked with many non for profit and charitable organizations over a career that spans 25 years including YMCA, Power To Change, Special Olympics, Salvation Army, and Princess Margaret Hospital. She has also shared stages with superstars like Jim Carrey, Reba McEntire, k.d.lang and Shania Twain.
Kelita’s latest musical endeavour is much more than just that. She now passionately advocates and speaks on behalf of the voiceless young girls in Cambodia who have been enslaved by one of the cruellest kinds of slavery. From Alberta born ranch girl to country and gospel singer, Kelita’s new role as justice activist has her singing out a powerful new song!
